>After the $200 mental evaluation & domestic equality exam, complete the $500 Citizen Defense training program over the next 6 months. Purchase Firearm Liability Insurance at national rated premium of $350.
>Register with state board watchlist of armed citizens. Surrender fingerprints, passport-photocopy, dna sample, psycho-pass results, my order invoice, and my signed Chief of Police approval along with the $300 tax.
>Receive license & carry permit in mail. Present them to Chief of Police for my official carry badge.
>Visit local DoHS branch to sign for my weapon and select my life-time government-issue box of ammunition. The 30rnd box of .38 caliber catches my eye. It's $300 on sale. Fill out paperwork consenting to confiscation should montly inspection find any bullets unaccounted for, and return after the two week waiting period.
>Finally have my gun now, and go home feeling like a free American. Decide to swing by 7-11 to pick up some Victory Gin to celebrate.
>Walk up to counter to find three men holding up the clerk. They see my sidearm.
